I'm.a.former centre forward to no real standard but I do wonder....

Professional? No, I only wish.

I knew John and his family from my time drinking in The Ship, Eston. He always kept a good house and would not tolerate any foul language.

When Terry Cochrane played for the Boro, we were all drinking in The Lampton, Normanby at the time and Coddy would come and sit in the lounge to make sure Terry wasn't drinking.

Great reply thanks mate...just interested in people I suppose.

I played locally to Teesside League level and also managed a very successful Sunday morning league team which got to the semi-final of the All England Trophy.

One of my mates reply when asked if he played football would be 'I stopped others from playing'.
