Not the Town Hall but the old Town Hall built in 1840 in St Hildas. It has been empty and shuttered up for many years.

The guy who did the model hoped it would be a year. If no planning permision yet someone needs to speak to him. Must be able to do something better than storage until something that may or may not happen comes along. Surely the Dorman Museum would love to show that.
 
The model was fantastic. 10 years in the making and looked really authentic. I hope there is somewhere for it to be displayed permanently soon, In the meantime I hope he can start another one, how about Cannon Street area. 👍

After building the model for 10 years he wants to be absolutely sure of its security. He has two other smaller models in storage, Ayresome Gardens cemetery and Forbes buildings (with all graves marked) and also North Ormesby market place.
Last day to view model today.
