Strong appointment this one.
At Marske?! They're punching above their weight (no pun intended). I wonder how they pulled that one off.

Is it punching above your weight (pardon the pun with Woodhouse)? . He was a manager of a club in the same division albeit higher up.At Marske?! They're punching above their weight (no pun intended). I wonder how they pulled that one off.
Well there is that. I was just a bit surprised it was someone I had actually heard of and had had a decent pro career at a good level. He'll be a bit of a minor celebrity around Marske! Is it punching above your weight (pardon the pun with Woodhouse)? . He was a manager of a club in the same division albeit higher up.
It's a unique and special place to play football. A great fan following, top players and a real sense of community about the place. At Marske?! They're punching above their weight (no pun intended). I wonder how they pulled that one off.
I know! I'm in Saltburn, I've been to loads of matches. I wouldn't say they're 'my' team, but it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Non league football is a whole different experience to watching Boro. Marske have done well to attract this guy. It's a unique and special place to play football. It's a real shame Saltburn don't have a better non league club. Plenty of players about over that way and over towards the Moors and back again towards Middlesbrough. Or is it more of a cricket orientated town?I know! I'm in Saltburn, I've been to loads of matches. I wouldn't say they're 'my' team, but it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Don't the folks over the Moors have other interests, something to do with shoving sheep's hind legs down their wellies? It's a real shame Saltburn don't have a better non league club. Redcar won't be in the northern league for long. They've got a good project going on down there, especially with the youth team setup been a great pathway into adult football.Don't the folks over the Moors have other interests, something to do with shoving sheep's hind legs down their wellies?
But seriously Redcar is the strange one. A town that size and the only decent footie team Redcat Athletic only in the Northern league. It wasn't formed till 1993 and even then it was called Teesside Athletic.
I know Marske have been going through some financial problems but the village should be proud of their football club which is punching well above its weight.
The state of the facilities at the ground could hinder further promotion up the pyramid.
Good to hear.Redcar won't be in the northern league for long. They've got a good project going on down there, especially with the youth team setup been a great pathway into adult football.
