Matt Crooks Still Ill?

If someone is 70% to 80% themselves and there are alternatives who are 100% such as Fry and Smith for the last 15 minutes etc , we all would probably take the latter route. Wilder sort of said the same in his post match interview.

Wrong substitution for me - lad was clearly struggling

Wilder clearly agrees with hindsight, as bringing on defenders would likely have seen us deservedly win.

But I suppose I can see his viewpoint for the decisions, we were absolutely battering Stoke for most of that match and would have been further ahead but for lousy finishing and good keeping, he clearly wanted to go for the killing blow and Crooks can readily pop up with goals.

I also think there'd probably be the predictable criticism of being negative if he'd brought on defenders at the end and we'd still conceded.

I have heard that his illness last week was to do with his epilepsy. He definitely didn't look anywhere near 100% last night.
