Realistically it's a daft position that I'd rather labour win and wind down and spend the funds from his salary and office on a few extra police or support staff

Of all his faults I don't think this one can be held against him in fairness.

It's interesting, who do you think is to blame for it?

Imo that's down to overall police funding and societal issues affecting the area as a whole. I think the man is a Doyle but I think anyone in that role would have the same issues

After 4 years of Turner, we now have the highest crime rate in the country, well above even London.

It's interesting, who do you think is to blame for it?

It firmly started with Mike Veale (who was a catastrophe for Cleveland Police), was firmly compounded by Richard Lewis (who had a nefarious relationship with Turner) and the resultant damage will take years and years to repair.

I cannot wait to have a good chortle when he loses his position, for many reasons....the main one being that he's an @rse and a hypoocrite

Closing the heroin assisted treatment scheme was a massive failure in my opinion. The results spoke for themselves and I know the medical professionals involved were seriously disappointed. It wasn’t cheap but must have saved the police a huge amount of man hours and some of our most seriously habitual criminals were on a path to recovery. I wonder how many of them fell back into a life of crime after it was stopped.

Steve turner struggled to get elected as longbeck councillor, he recognised his gravy train was coming to an end with the PCC gig, he and his wife both ran both failed to get elected.

Four recounts and he lost! As did his wife.
