Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is available for the first time since being injured in February.
Andy Robertson could also return after missing out against Brighton, but Wataru Endo is a doubt after sustaining a knock last weekend.
Sheffield United will be without George Baldock and Tom Davies for up to six weeks.
Striker Cameron Archer, currently recovering from a calf injury, should feature again this season.​

Much as I dislike the Barcodes, it was a landmark game. For Newcastle, it was the first time they had scored eight away in the Premiership - so they have at least one achievement this season! :love:

Whilst the Blades face almost certain relegation from the Premiership, there is much speculation in local and national media about the club's options regards recruitment and retention for next season. There is, of course, the question whether Chris Wilder will have another end-date on his "CV"? He gave his opinion on tonight's game to SUFC on their website, but frankly he's little wiggle - room or a hope in hell of beating Liverpool.

Wilder did however have this to say about departing, end of season, Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp:

“For them now to be season in season out, competing in the top division and winning what they’re winning. Just the whole feel of the football club and what he’s [Klopp] done in the community, working in the area,” he said. “I know the area really well, my dad’s a Scouser. I spent many a summer holiday about 10 minutes from Anfield, so I know how they love their football, and he’s definitely one of their own and his impact on that football club has been absolutely incredible".
