Just been told he died of a heart attack on Thursday. The Men They Couldn't Hang have been a live accompaniment to my life for years.

Should have been seeing them at the Westgarth on 19th but Covid put paid to that. Postponed until next Jan.

Sad news indeed.
 
So sad to hear-TMTCH are one of my favourite bands and met Cush a few times-he was a tremendous guy as well as a brilliant singer and songwriter-big condolences to his family and friends
 
Sad news, was looking forward to seeing them in the Westgarth , hopefully the rest of the band will still feel up to playing live further down the line.

I love this clip from the T&C show where he's trying to quieten down quite possibly the biggest stage invasion ever during Green Fields of France. I saw them up and down the land, including at the Mean Fiddler, but always wished I'd been at this show.
