Seriously, how low can the nasty party get?

Rishi Sunak is proposing changes to PIP today, including the possibility of replacing monthly (edited from weekly, cheers Kenny) payments to vouchers.

As if the Government doesn't already demonise the disabled and those with mental health issues enough as it is.

It’s a bit like
Every day - go lower

Every MP should be made to do 1 week with disability benefits, no access to their money or resources, just in a housing unit for people with disabilities. They'd soon change their tune.
They wouldn't, because after that 1 week they'd be back to their luxury lifestyles. Tories (and some Labour MPs) don't have compassion.

Starmer and Reeves need to come right out now and say they won't go along with this.

Pathetic sabre waving to try and shore up the Tunbridge Wells vote ahead of Thursday. Vouchers cost a fortune to administer, which is why they phased out e.g. milk tokens.

They always do this: they start to publicise more right-wing policies when approaching the election to pander to the old farts that might be tempted by UKIP and the likes. That's how we ended up with Brexit.
The shame is that Starmer has tried it - taking his own party for granted, name dropping the old tory bitch without spitting, in the vain hope that he can convince right wingers to vote for him.
