Should the blast furnace be saved?

There are already monuments/art pieces on the roundabouts/street names in the region as a tribute to Iron and steelmaking. All the Blast Furnace and Lackenby Steel plants are a dead reminder of times past as were the old Cleveland Works and Clay Lane Blast Furnaces etc. The area needs to renew and stop looking back and this is from somebody who was proud to say he worked in steel all his life in the area. It's sad, but it's gone.
The Salamander from the Blast wants putting in a prominent position like adjacent to the roundabout at Steel House and I would leave it at that.
What better tribute to the generations of people of the area who's livelihood relied on iron and steel employment, which was at the forefront of the industrial revolution. Than to replace it with a green energy park employing locals in the future technological revolution.

Like I said above we have the Sydney Harbour Bridge and even the Tyne Bridge in UK . Not to mention loads of others as a testament to our heritage .
Nobody outside the area knows about these. And less so in time, if you don't have a fitting memorial.

The ladle on the roundabout looks great, but why miniaturise?
