Take the game to the opposition, be patient around the box and create as many chances as possible. Having a playmaker in Hackney who is so good at passing and passing forwards more importantly is so important, it’s actually silly that Wilder overlooked him as he could have been a big player for him. Anyway that’s irrelevant now, it’s about the present and the future and I for one am excited about our prospects under Carrick. So far, so good. I’m impressed.

Also, Akpom has just been a revelation this season. Delighted for the lad

I thought McGree was good today and much better than he has been, second half he impressed me and was involved in the goal. Probably a 7 for me. Hackney as a 6 is a disgrace. Was comfortably the best footballer on the pitch.
 
Hackney was superb again and is very quickly becoming the heart beat of the side. We are so close to be a really good side I think. A creative midfielder to link midfield and attack and a striker who scores goals to play in front of Akpom and we are in business.

Thought McGree was poor first half - too soft again getting knocked off the ball but agree he was better 2nd half.

Yeah that’s his problem, but he also made their keeper make some very good saves. His movement is excellent and he gets in some brilliant positions it’s just a shame his finishing isn’t quite Upto it. If that comes he could be really important for us.

I just don't see it with McGree.
He is a weakness when we don't have the ball and wasteful when we do.
Hackney and Howson were both on another level to him today.
