The weekend beer and music thread

Cracking game, work will be fun on Monday as head office is in Norwich. Only thing that spoiled it was the bell whiff in the Qashqai that thought it was funny to drive through the flood on Dockside road and soak me, was fooking livid.
Anyway, trying this tipple for the first time, happy weekend and UTB.

I'm back home now. Of all the games not to get to, it had to be a 5-1 win didn't it? Typical. Not that I'm complaining. I watched it with my mam and the birthday boy at their place. There was wine, and a half time steak pie, that I'll regret eating in the morning.

It'll my birthday in about an hour or so. That's a depressing thought. Beer and music for me now.

Redka clearly isn't my real brother. Sending me a birthday card proves that. My real brother would never do that. He hates me.

Tnanks for that Redka. I can't reply to you directly because there wasn't any text in your post.

I'm listening to The Unicorns again.

Almost ike they knew you were ill Harry The Young Uns encored with an a cappella "Between The Wars". They are very very good. As usual.
Ah bless 'em. A mutual friend was trying to persuade them to cover one of mine but they politely and sensibly demurred.

Well, I think I'm still drunk from last night, but the best way to avoid a hangover is to never stop drinking, so that's the plan.

I'm listening to The Halo Benders at the moment.

Happy Saturday chaps. Enjoy your evening.

Great feelgood song. I saw them in the 90s supporting The Lightning Seeds at Newcastle City Hall. Wow, I feel old now.
I think that I saw them supporting someone too. Can't remember who it was though. At one point it seemed like every gig that I went to had The Frank and Walters as the support band. I must have seen them about half a dozen times, without really wanting to, but I started to like them eventually. They wore me down with their dumb catchy pop songs and their stupid floppy haircuts.

Happy Sunday chaps.

OK as you all know I always quaff my usual Sauvignon Blanc because I’m not that bothered about beer. However today we walked a big chunk of Derwent Water, and called in at the Mary Mount hotel and I had a couple of pints of Keswick Gold. Nice pint, no bitter aftertaste, decent.
