Top scorers in the League?

I'm sure someone can enlighten me on this one but when was the last time Middlesbrough were top scorers in a season.

Not saying it's going to happen as we are still 5 goals adrift of Burnley but when you consider we had only scored 19 goals in the first 17 games of the season what an incredible effort to even be that close.

What a great time to be a Boro fan!!

Not certain of the actual stats but in terms of how it feels, we haven't been this prolific since Charlton's 70's team.

We were top scorers in 73/74 with 77 goals (42 games).
And in the 26/27 'George Camsell season' - 122 goals in 42 games
