Uber taxis arriving in Stockton

Was that with uber or boro taxis ? Shocking either way !
 
Looked the other day Ingleby to Yarm was showing as £13, 10 minutes later it was £8 so going to be pot luck with Uber.

Probably won't be that many Uber drivers at the minute, so it's probably more open to variance.

As they gain market share and the drivers figure it out, suppliers will meet demand and the variance should reduce. I can't see how it's going to be cheaper than Boro taxi's overall mind, as Uber will have a margin they want to hit which is probably fairly standard across the board, where as Boro seem to just take a tiny cut on massive numbers.

Uber's probably going to be a better service though, so will probs get used by those more well off.
 
Just checked and from min to boro is ~£20 with uber, and £15 with boro taxis or royal (think they're not owned by boro). But to go to newcastle airport, ubers £50 and Boro is £70.
 
Took an Uber from Delhi City centre to the International Airport a few weeks ago - a 35 min drive. It cost £2.50. Ridiculous.
