Update on upcoming away tickets

For those unaware - there are around 300 away tickets on general sale for the Southampton game.
For Hull City away there are just over 200 available, but at least 33 Priority points are required.

Both appear as though the full allocations are on sale, but you never can fully tell.

The Southampton ones have been selling at 20-30 a day since the initial rush of Tuesday and Wednesday, there might be a little upturn of tickets before they go off sale on Tuesday, and then you seem to have a few people who ring up and book a ticket for collection or walk up and get one on the days they are available still before being returned to the host club. We will probably sell 1800+ for this one, it's just over 1700 at the moment, so this means that probably more than half have gone in the general sale to Boro fans, which means they are most likely Southern based.

Looks like Hull will sell out, all blocks now open.

Southampton only has 280 left available. Mightily impressive that. Looking forward to it.

We always take a big following to Hull, but Hull never seem to bring that many to boro traditionally!
Hull have one of the worst away followings in the league.

But also, Hull, like many other Clubs in the Yorkshire/Lancashire region, are one of our closest away days but we aren't one of theres. And then on top of that, we are one of the more expensive Championship grounds and Hull are one of the cheapest.

I feel Hull are like Huddersfield where they will take big numbers if they feel it's an important or big match, but if not then many won't travel. What people say about Leeds being a Rugby league city isn't really true but it is to Hull multiplied by 2

The 200 are probably new released tickets - maybe something has happened with segregation or tickets MFC kept for corporates and club officials etc. There are 7 blocks of seats which for just 2,270 tickets.

Hull is definitely more RL in ordinary times - I don't know why but it is.

With Leeds I always felt they had a lot of support from outside the City as % of their total support with a big catchment area. When I lived in Whitby Leeds was the most supported team by a wide margin and its 75 miles from Leeds. At one point there were two supporter coaches going to Leeds home matches from Whitby.

Sad

You used to get a few lads in the early 80's who would go to Leeds away matches from Boosbeck, Lingdale, Skelton and Brotton, they would usually go for the big away ones. Leeds is like a beacon for small villages and towns across Yorkshire, lads just wanting the thrill of a crazy day out. Personally for me there isn't a bonfire big enough I could make....

Edit They still never bought much to Boro in those times, 3500 to 4000 without ticket restrictions, even when they played their 1st away match in 83 or 84 they turned up with 4000 on the Saturday 3pm KO,, the mags brought down 7-8000 a few nights later. So that tells you they were a bullying group of lads who would use their numbers to harass the town they were in but when they knew they were up against it their numbers would dwindle away and the village idiots would stay local.

Even Guisborough, Great Ayton and Stokesley have a lot of Leeds fans

You used to get a coach from Boro and Redcar going, the Teesside Whites, they hate Boro fans, I think this is why Ii dislike them so much.
