We build up the big first GT of the season next weekend!
My first draft doesn't have Pog in. It looks strong as a result but its a massive gamble that he blows up or merely coasts through weeks 2 and 3 and saves himself for the Tour having won the Giro in week 1.Who is maverick enough to go NotPog?
Could argue it "worked" last year with Remco dropping out.
I've tried it both ways and prefer the team without him. He's soooo expensive it's hard to build a team with him in itMy first draft doesn't have Pog in. I'm in the same place. Going to go with him, just means one area of the team isn't as strong as I'd want. Pog is priced well to force these tricky decisions.I thought about it very seriously (non-Pog). But it's basically a gamble on him getting a DNF/being sick/falling off.
I thought I could build a team with him in it, even though he is expensive and the team is doomed to failure if he DNFs.
George has done a great job in pricing Pog that high - it means you can get away with not having him even if he wins it as long as your own picks perform well in both the stages and the GC. You'd need to pick the second placed rider though and that isn't an easy one as second priced rider GT isn't going to podium IMO.I'm in the same place. I have gone non-Pog in my current selection. I usually finish near the bottom when I do include the favourites, so I am trying something else this time. Who knows, a stray dog might run out in front of him on stage 1.Who is maverick enough to go NotPog?

Went Pog. My biggest dilemma was my wildcard.... two riders. 8 point seach. Both on the same team. One young. One old (in cycling terms). One proven one potential. I went with old.... I may regret that.
