Leeds had a loan and had to buy if they went up by the last day of the season on May whatever. They are trying to claim their option payment isn't enforceable as the season finished after that (due to covid).
 
Moves often don’t work out and they tried to wriggle out of paying what they owed. If they just paid the fee and moved the lad on then not a great deal would have been said.

It’s doubly embarrassing Leeds being dropped from the US tour as Leeds are part owned by the San Francisco 49ers organisation as well.
