Warning . Rogue NHS email Covid vaccine invites

Im sure many would be suspicious from the outset like I was , but just in case any poster is ‘ not on form ‘ who ordinarily would be during these testing times be aware these dubious emails are emerging .

I got this yesterday and like anything that seems too good to be true I investigated and did a bit of googling and a couple of papers have reported them hitting people down on the south coast . It appears plausible ( its email address etc ) and is better constructed than the bizarre emails have when telling you you’re eligible for recovering loads in taxes that come from African emails

There Is a link that obviously I never touched but I’d imagine they’re seeking personal info to fleece people out of identity etc . Typical human nature where people seize misfortune for despicable gain , and we call ourselves the master race ( another topic ) .

Seeing crime on significantly increased level atm, scammers seem to be out in force and the local FB group for my (and surrounding) village(s) is pretty much on a daily basis reporting stolen vehicles and dogs from farms or ring video/ sec cams picking up people looking around gardens etc

Yeah, I got one yesterday of a similar ilk. 'Clear here if you'd like the jab, or clear here if not'. What peaked my suspicion is that I'm far, far, far too young and in peak physical fitness to be offered a jab just yet.

I’d of imagined domestic crime would have reduced as more people are at home all day and cars are at home in the main . That may have encouraged more sophisticated criminals to hit the internet but the chav shellsuit brigade won’t have that nous hence trivial stuff like night time random gardens and car door trying as you mentioned . I live in Egglescliffe village and luckily there’s one way in/out so we can spot them a mile off . They tend to travel across from Hardwick etc and hit the estates of Eaglescliffe .

This may also deter people in responding to genuine invites to get jab.

I was invited via text from GP, though I'm not in current categories. Presumably they have a lot of 'no shows' in my area, and scams are not going to help.

Like I alluded to there’ll be lots of people who are susceptible due to the strain of these current times and them not thinking pragmatically and desperation governing their response

I think some of it is probably desperation. A fair bit in our larger village has been in the early morning when it's dark and picked up sec cam, but a couple of farms in the area have had vehicles nicked in full daylight. Depending on what happens with the economy / jobs I could see this getting even worse.

But you;re right about the email, it's probably a much more sophisticated outfit, rather than some scrotes in their van
