They took Jarod Bowen from the championship , maybe thinking O'hare and Greaves can step up. I agree with them .Well this is one way to guarantee that west ham make the championship play offs in 25-26 season

Do West Ham need to increase their homegrown player quota??
They did on footy manager, anyway, when they tried to nab Sonny Finch off me
They do.
They have 5 home-grown players out of contract this summer - Cresswell, Antonio, Johnson, Mubama and their young keeper - and they sold Connor Coventry in Jan.
You'd expect Antonio, Mubama and the keeper to sign extensions - which leaves them with those 3 + Bowen, Ings and Ward-Prowse
If the other 2 leave... They need 2 more. Could be O'Hare annd Grieves
I'd be very skeptical if I was a player being signed to fulfil a home grown quota....are you really anything more than a squad fillerThey do.

Maybe, but there are plenty of examples of players that go and rot on the bench. I mean Randolph to West Ham is a great example. 5 league appearances in 3 years after going to West Ham and his career was done from that point with he exists to train first choice keepers, where is the job satisfaction in that?If you're good enough, you're good enough. West Ham might be inclined to spend more money on a player who is good enough - but also home grown.

That’s prime time for a goalkeeperRandolph was 32-33 when he joined West Ham so his career was pretty much done anyway
We will grieve for Jacob like we grieved for TonyJacob Greaves, leaves; Brian grieves.
