Seen Drogba at the Riverside when he first joined Chelsea and his movement was great but he couldn't hit a barn door despite scoring. How wrong can you be.

Shearer. He was absolutely brilliant at Blackburn and scored over 30 goals two seasons running. Shearer also has a serious injury too which kept him out for months. He’d likely to on 280 PL goals if it wasn’t for that.

Put Shearer in a dominant team like Chelsea 2004/06 and he scores loads.

He scored loads anyway.

Shearer was easily the better player. Drogba was good but I wouldn’t have him in that elite level of former PL strikers.

Shearer without doubt, never played for a top team for long.
If he'd of gone to Man Utd of example he would of broke all kinds of records, and won everything.

Shearer has the record and was a top striker as much as I hate to admit it. The best striker ever to play in the PL for me though is Thierry Henry. Unbelievable player.

Week in week out Shearer was better than Drogba but on the big occasions and when it really mattered Drogba consistently produced the goods, he scored 10 goals in 10 finals, he had a similar record in semi-finals and the bigger the occasion the bigger the performance, if you look at Chelsea's golden period it was invariably Drogba who would make the difference none more so than in the 2012 Champion's League Final when he scored the 88th minute equaliser and the winning penalty.

He failed to score in one final appearance for Chelsea the 2014-15 League Cup Final mind he didn't come on until the 93rd minute in that game so didn't really have any opportunity.

Shearer appeared in 3 finals but didn't score any goals, he did however score in two FA Cup and the Euro 96 Semi Finals.

I reckon the worlds top defenders would have preferred to play Shearer, excellent as he was. None of them would fancy playing Drogba. With Drogba it wasn’t as much stopping him scoring, it was also stopping any of his team mates benefitting from the chaos he caused.
