Would the Anglo-Italian cup be more popular now?

Amongst fans I mean? Used to love going to ayresome to watch teams I’d barely heard of! Hardly anyone ever turned up but still seemed there was something glamorous about it all! Would definitely try and do an away match now too.

I’ve asked before a while back, but did we take many fans over to Italy?

I went to Pisa which was by far the biggest of our away following. About 200 or so.

No chance it would be taken seriously.

The Conference League gets massively belittled and that's a top flight pan-European competition that you actually have to qualify for.

The Anglo-Italian Cup essentially seemed to be a "take part if you can be arsed" competition between weaker sides from England and Italy.
