Off The Beat #2 - Songs From Northern Britain 13/5/23

A wonderful little festival, Songs From Northern Britain showcases the brightest new talent from either side of the Anglo-Scottish border and rounds them all up to entertain audiences in the Georgian Theatre and Green Room, Stockton. Jointly promoted by The Kids Are Solid Gold and Tees Music Alliance the all day festival has in the past been headlined by the likes of Avalanche Party, The Snuts and The Howl and the Hum. This May Middlesbrough's Finn Forster has been promoted to top the bill. And yes this festival really is an event and not least because BBC Scotland's Vic Galloway adds some real panache by giving every act an enthusiastic introduction.
