I wasn't at the game today but was able to watch a stream with QPR commentary. I don't know the name of the commentator but his sidekick was Andy Sinton who was a decent player back in the day.
The commentator bemoaned the game being stopped when Hackney went down with a head injury in the first half. They talked about how an uncontested drop ball was frustrating after they may have nicked something from the goalmouth scramble when the corner came in.
Then, late in the second half when the ref blew up due to Barlaser going down with a head injury during another goalmouth scramble from a corner, they both blatantly accused Boro of doing this as a tactic to cheat and take the sting out of the situation.
Us Boro fans know that this isn't a tactic we use as it hasn't happened in previous games.
I can kind of see it from their viewpoint and I may have felt the same had the tables been turned but it's a strong accusation for a former pro to make.
Just sour grapes?
