The better side won

Their game plan worked perfectly didnt it? We just didn’t have an answer. Hitting the bar (albeit offside) from 2 yards out sums it up.

Unfortunately I agree. Sounds a strange thing to say but I don't think we have the quality in the final third. I think we are expertly coached as a team but we lack X factor quality. None of our front 4 are going to open someone up. McGree, Archer, Forss carried no threat.

The frustrating thing is - once again - Carrick has been done tactically. Not a pop at him as he is a young manager learning the ropes, but not the first time this has happened. Teams sit deep, defend well and hit us on the counter.

We go again, need to learn from it. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Just listening to Robins on Sky for the last 10mins or so, what a great manager he is. He talks well. I remember him being a supersub for Man.United when I was a boy, always wondering why he never seemed to start. He’s been a fixture of my football-watching life. Good luck to him at Wembley.

Its gutting, it stings but they did a job on us, their tactics worked and we're in the championship next season. I'm proud of our lads, I'm proud of our season and I'm looking forward to August already as long as we get this summer right.

Let's hold our heads high and keep the positivity, UTFB

They defended very well and stiffled us.

Can't complain about the result.
That's about the size of it. They nullified out attack. They did use some ugly tactics to do that, which the referee allowed for too long.

They didn't play better than we did, they defended better than we did.

The best team won, as a team they are greater than the sum of their parts.

Mark Robins and his staff deserve a lot of credit for the job they have done there.

I must of watched a different game, out played by them all over the pitch
1.29 Expected Goals (xG) 1.01

65% Ball possession 35%

7 Goal attempts 8

2 Shots on goal 1

5 Shots off goal 7

8 Corner kicks 0

0 Goalkeeper saves 2

4 Yellow cards 6

113 Attacks 57

80 Dangerous Attacks 25

Really?

Tonight basically felt like Sunday but in reverse (although maybe not going on the above).

My point being...our attack at its best should overcome Coventry's defense at its best. Obviously we weren't at our best, hence we got beat.
