That exact point was mentioned yesterday on our Boro WhatsApp group. Looks like the photoshoot was in an old folks home.

It’s ok. As usual with non-prem teams the gambling sponsor is not just ethically questionable but it is also visually rubbish. I think the rest of the kit is fine. A standard band would have been better. Maybe narrowed with blue piping.
Good to see the blue accent colour back. I will get it because I always do. But not as good as last year and not as good as the majority of Errea’s other kits this year.

My guess is the kits turned up early so they thought **** it lets snap some pictures now.
Not a huge fan of the shirt but as a kit I think it's alright. I like the red with blue trim on the sleeves, shorts, and socks.

Could be any team that play in Red. We’re the only team that has a white stripe, it’s unique and instantly recognisable as Boro.

Trivia - Bristol City, Charlton, Crewe, Orient and York all have copied our red with white hoop/band kit.

Well it only took a day but at least we no longer have the worst home kit I've seen so far

I don't like Blue on our home kits. - Red and Blue together don't work for me. How many teams have used red and blue together (Palace with stripes)
I suspect some of the design could be to aid efficiency on the pitch - Big Jack introduced the white band to aid visibility and maybe red white and blue does that too. The tight arms is probably to do with reducing wind friction.
The dominant logo is probably to please Unibet.

That Barnsley one looks like they're actively trying to be wacky and replicating one of the types of kits you see a lot with Mexican clubs and that.
Don't especially hate ours but don't particularly like it either. Don't really understand why we've gone for just two white lines instead of the band. Like, either have the band or don't, but this sort of halfway allusion to one just looks weird.
