We sold Gibson, Tav and Spence all below what would be considered market value. The only reason is we didn’t want to risk their value dropping if they stayed but we should’ve got more for all three. It’s the same with Akpom. He will go for a lot less than we all think he’s worth. Are we really? We may be a selling club, but a good businessman doesn't sell his assets at less than their real value, and despite his age Chuba is worth more than £8 million. His wage demands may have more of a bearing on whether he stays or not unless a much better bid comes in.
Look at the lad at Bristol City who’s supposedly going for £25m+. Is he any better than Tav? Has he done any more than Tav had this time last year?
