Bristol City is a big stadium too. Will they be record breaking?
Off the top of my head, all decent:
Boro
Sunderland
Leeds
Leicester
Norwich
Southampton
Sheff Wed
Ipswich
Coventry
West Brom
But do they get decent crowds?Bristol City is a big stadium too.
Good point. I’m not sure actually. I seem to remember their crowd is about 20k plus. But do they get decent crowds?
Queens Park used to have a big stadium.....
Not with a 27k capacity.Bristol city have huge potential isolated big city, nice ground with any real investment they’d probably get about 35,000 on in the premier league. Ipswich crowds before last season were awful part timers it seems
They’d probably expand it, it’s a huge city tbf albeit they’ve never been muchNot with a 27k capacity.
I think they have plans to replace the current away end, and increase capacity to an extent. They’d probably expand it, it’s a huge city tbf albeit they’ve never been much
Shouldn’t be during a cost of living crisis. Will they be record breaking?
I have a piece of vinyl with an hole in the middle, is that a record?Could well be an all time record.
Good point. I was only thinking of back to the 70sSince the rebrand, I think it will be, surely.
But I expect that the huge crowds of the 50s won't be beaten.

I think it is to do with the teams in the division as opposed to more people going to matches overall, regardless of their disposable income.Shouldn’t be during a cost of living crisis.
They could never attract attendances that high. Its a rugby city with also another EPL club.Bristol city have huge potential isolated big city, nice ground with any real investment they’d probably get about 35,000 on in the premier league. Leicester is also a rugby city but the football club gets 30k.They could never attract attendances that high. Its a rugby city with also another EPL club.
And so is Hull, yet Hull City still attract more than FC & KR combined. The point I'm making is there'll always be large swathes of the population who have little or no interest in football compared to other large towns & cities that don't have another sporting counter attraction.Leicester is also a rugby city but the football club gets 30k.
Yes it’s a fair point. Bristol is very different to Newcastle for the reason you mention. The region around Bristol is much more rugby oriented. Traditional rugby towns like Bath and Gloucester are nearby too.And so is Hull, yet Hull City still attract more than FC & KR combined. Bristol City wouldn't attract average attendances of 35,000.
