the way the lion bisects the lines is not good. One of many things that would need to be addressed to make that logo work now (and have relevance in the future - longevity)
I like the Lions cutting the lines. For me it is the most perfect badge of all time and means a lot to me. We'll never please everyone, but hopefully please the vast majority with the new badge (currently only 6% of voters want to keep the current badge)

I don't see the need for a change. People call the new badge but the 86 badge was absolutely appalling in design. I do like the lion with just MFC under it but like I said I don't see the need for a change.

Round badges are certainly the new in thing. However, they are also very neat. The 86 badge does not quite fit that description.

Somebody shared some lovely round designs with the Lion inside.

Middlesbrough FC imo not only represents the town of Boro it represents the rest of Teesside big chunks of North Yorkshire and swathes of South Durham including the Teesside parts of it. The Blue Lion is representative of the De Brus family which connects all that area under their heraldic symbol , for me it has to go on the badge, as a wooly back Boro supporter it connects me to the town of Middlesbrough. The Tees Transporter is not only a globally iconic symbol of the Town of Boro but also Stockton which is the Borough on the other side river, it also represents our engineering history and alludes to the River Tees which is so important to the wider area, in my mind it also symbolic of the bridge between Yorkshire and Durham which we find in our club, with supporters coming from both sides.
I don't know how we have the present club crest but with a momentous milestone coming up in a couple of years it might be time to reassess what represents us.

Chelsea is the blue lion , I hate everything about Chelsea .
Boro are red lion , de Brus family have nothing to do with the club .

I'm not getting involved in the design debate even though it was my profession, it's a minefield. However personally the only problem I have with the lion is that they're absolutely everywhere and are certainly not unique to us. However, there is only one Transporter like ours and it symbolises the town for me. Just my two-penn'orth.

There's one in Newport that's very similar to ours.

It's one of a few around the world, but none are quite like ours. Like I said, just my opinion and I don't expect many to share it.

it doesn't work and is rusting away
maybe it's time for a new symbol of the town

It's a football club logo, not a coat of arms!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the current badge, people need to stop living in the past and over thinking it!

For the record, I thought there was nothing wrong the 86 badge too!
