Love the band but not the lead singer's voice

Joy Division - hate is a strong word, I don't hate his voice as such - I just don't get the whole band / thing
Yeah, I'm the same. My mate loves them but I've never been able to get into them.

Might as well be Homer Simpson on vocals.
 
I'd have to know something about them to answer that. Whichever one was worse out of those two.
Depends on whether you're listening to them sing or marrying them I guess.

I'd say they have a few good tracks, 5 or 6, but they're largely loved for laying the foundations for New Order as well, and the 'Madchester' thing that followed. Whilst his suicide was tragic, it certainly didn't harm the profile of the band.

I love New Order but Bernard Sumner is not a natural singer. He only took on the vocal duties because the others were worse.
