I’m going to go with no, as I assume (and I’m maybe being cynical here) that whatever money is saved from the royal family will be squandered elsewhere!!!

Especially considering they are one of the richest families in the country already. Really don’t think they need anything from the tax payers

When thousands are relying on food banks to stay alive, throwing public money at one of the richest families in the country seems a bit out of touched doesn’t it?
London is one of the most visited places on the planet, I highly doubt people would stop visiting if we suddenly stopped funding the royal family

Separate issue for me, the Conservative Party have a lot to answer for in terms of starving people and withdrawing public funding.
 
You could house every homeless person in London in Buck house easily ..
No more ' veterans on the street '
Seems like the Patriotic thing to do ., donate one of your gaffs . move into another castle or stately home .

They cost the taxpayer somewhere in the region of £400M per year directly.

They also receive wealth from a whole host things that would otherwise go to the public purse.

I'd be surprised if the annual total wasn't hitting a billion quid. That's a lot of money that could be used elsewhere without taking into account the wealth that's been accumulated over the years.

If a billion quid was pumped into the NHS and other services then of course those services would improve. Why did the Brexit Bus have a massive slogan mentioning NHS funding if no-one thought that additional funding would make any difference?
