Not that being drunk would excuse someone for being abusive.

I think the current lockdown Covid situation has made people a lot more eager to react. I’ve noticed it in myself my tolerance levels are so low and it doesn’t take much to set me off. Animals in cages, which is essentially what we are at the moment, are always likely to be more moody.
Not that I’m defending what UKLL1981 has done. It sounds like he clearly was way over the lines of decency and respect. Just saying it might not reflect him. He’s probably struggling like the rest of us and lashed out.

Agree with those who say it’s surprising to lash out at WeeGord mind. I’ve always found him a respectful and will spoken poster. Certainly someone it’s difficult to get upset with
 
Tbh I lost all respect for him after he spent months panicking openly about being made redundant from his well paid job and as soon as he found out he was currently safe, turned into a massive bellend on multiple threads, total I’m alright jack and revealed he had a massive inheritance to cushion him blah blah blah, total u turn. I get that people are stressed etc but everyone’s going through it & fighting their own battles.

Some of his opinions on here, he will slot right in on CoB and they will welcome him with open arms. Probably fit in with the fight threads too.

Easy Woodall, you'll start a scrap, everyone knows that Bungle is a real bear and zippy is just a puppet.

I remember on the old board he stated something along the lines of he didn't care if the Tories being in power would increase poverty etc, he only cared about what was good for him.

Didn't he also say something fairly recently if he was made redundant he'd just have a kid so he could live off benefits?

The bloke was a tosser. Plenty are struggling, but I think only a certain type responds to someone in that manner, no matter much stress you're under.

Yeah, tbh I saw this tone in many of his posts and gave him a wide berth. I've known several people in the real world who think and talk in similar tones and they are best avoided.

Sorry to hear about your pops @WeeGord my sister had to battle Breast cancer not that long ago it's an awful time in people's lives and the poster should really take a long look at themselves.

That said don't let him get to you. You're a goodun.
 
I thought a few of the things he said were contradictory or at least improbable.

The main one being - grew up in care, yet had a property in trust that he was due to inherit.

As stated above he had £250k in savings despite not yet being 40 or owning a property.
