What was said was truly vile and there are no excuses or mitigation for it, but he’s not a poster I would have ordinarily expected capable of such a vile outburst.

Perhaps he’s really struggling and there are issues deeply affecting him. It’s a difficult time for everyone in at least some aspects of their lives and so if that is the reason he said the things he did, then I hope he gets help and support for the root causes of his issues.

He has frequently posted about the difficulties in the airline industry in which he works and so probably has some very deep anxieties around that. It doesn’t excuse his behaviour of course, and hopefully he’s had the time to reflect and realise that he was out of order - it does seem to be the exception rather than the rule for him and so I’d like to think he gets the benefit of the doubt.

WTF!! Well I don’t think you need to be assessing you own behaviour / thinking what you should or shouldn’t have done etc sounds to me like you reacted how anyone would have.

Again you’re certainly now reflecting on the situation in a more compassionate way that I think most would be.

One of the only posters to have shown empathy towards myself and my loneliness in lockdown.

Several years ago Whilst struggling with depression I made a comment to a useless customer sales monkey who wouldn’t give me what I wanted about wishing cancer upon them. I’m not proud about it obviously and instantly regretted it.

doesn’t excuse it but it’s honestly just words typed on a keyboard....

Keep saying it but whitty vallance et al give zero **** about the Mental Health of the 50 million ppl they’ve incarcerated in their own homes. Sorry 😞

If only everyone in life was so tolerant and understanding, the world would be a much better place, never mind this board.
 
sounds terrible, sorry you have had to deal with loss and that someone was saying such ridiculous things. They clearly aren't worth anymore of our time, hope they stay gone
