I think folks just wanted him to do well at boro. A lot of bitterness was aimed at boro fans from Woodgate after leaving.Lot of bitterness over the lad, or is it envy?? Of a local lad whos done well for himself. He clearly tried his best here but of course fAiled unfortunately. Those people against him will be the same people who will be clamouring for him to return when hes doing well.
Different set ups really, a stronger squad with a full backroom staff.. plus a little advice from Harry RedknappI must admit that I'll find it quite amusing* if Woodgate gets Bournemouth promoted after Boro sacked him
*I won't apologise for having a sense of humour
Half the team was injured for most of the season.. remember Howson having to play CB and RB for months? Ayala, Friend, Shotton, Dijksteel, McNair, Browne, Gestede and Wing barely played. Then we sold Randolph on top of it.He lucky to have them key players still at the club. I can see why we were angry with him when he was here. He was taking us down at the time. I was glad when he was sacked by Steve Gibson.
And despite that he still has them on the brink of promotion.plus a little advice from Harry Redknapp
And despite that he still has them on the brink of promotion.
if, if, if..He’ll be ripped apart by the press if they manage to get promoted, you can get away with his press conferences in the championship but the media will slate him in the premier league especially if they’re near the bottom.
He didn't do it on purpose. He was offered the job - most fans wanted someone else - and he did his best.He nearly cost us relegation, Gibson too. Sorry, no sentimentality from me. I hope Brentford stuff em
