It's not that I don't like those later albums, it's more that they've all just started to sound the same. I feel like they're just pumping out the same formula over and over again, and it doesn't make me want to keep listening. I'm exactly the same with Eels, who I used to love in the early 2000s.

My league table is long and detailed, but I don't know if I should derail this thread by talking about it! I've heard of both the bands you mentioned, but don't know their music, so I'll check them out.
 
My memory is terrible and most of the usernames I remember from my days on the board (while bored at work) have been mentioned. grangetownbeerbelly teesvillains, redrebel, ccole, spacehead, shackleton and bandy all would've been on my list.

I discovered fmttm around 2000 after I'd moved away from the area. I used to read every day, and without it probably wouldn't have stuck at a new job in a new area for quite as long.

One thing that should be barred from this board is any mention of the Boro. That has got to be the most boring subjects in existence. One week Warnock is great, the next he is terrible. This player is great, then he's terrible. It's all very tedious. Never seek the opinion of a football fan - that's one of the golden rules. Even if the Boro did get promoted they'd only get relegated again. It's all pretty pointless really. People merely use it as a distraction from reality. Same with a lot of things.

He basically introduced Bob to the London comedy circuit and to his mate Jim Moir (Vic Reeves). I might be mistaken but I think Kingy had a chip on his shoulder about how it all panned out as he was one of the acts that used to 'fill in' between Vic's routines and he had paved the way for Bob's success without really getting any credit. Kingy is on YouTube playing an outdoor gig during lockdown. He sometimes appears with his guitar at venues on the South East coast.

Don't think Kingy spoke that well of Mortimer but didn't seem to mind Reeves. He said he rated them in the early days but not so much further down the line. Not sure how bitter he was or wasn't, but just seemed to provide a bit of background to their history. There was some commentary from a well known comedian on the circuit that stated Kingy was initially the brains behind their act. And of course, Mortimer was a big cocaine user so he probably wasn't the nicest of people. It wouldn't be difficult to imagine Kingy and him not getting on.

Bessemer did some ludicrous exercise of using fake prices to prove he could make an imaginary profit. I challenged him and the other guy to a real challenge with real money - the pair of them have never been seen since.

Front up? I'm tried and tested with that regard on here. Plenty of people will back that fact up as well.

If Bessemer and the other guy are still around, get them on and we'll have a bit of competition. That's what I wanted before when they both disappeared.
