Memories of Posters

I always liked Ponce and always took his dafter posts with a pinch of salt and took a lot of then as tongue in cheek. A nice lad with a sense of humour.

Lovely story by the way @Erimus74 and IIRC didn't he buy a season ticket to pass out to different less well off people each match once upon a time?
Yes he did, lovely lad, lovely family

I've been on the board since about 2003 and I remember that name, but somehow I must've missed that story - any more details?!
Posted on here, pretended to die of cancer if I remember right. There was even a minutes silence for her at a couple of games one weekend I think. Turned out it was all made up.

That's how I remember it too.
What an odd going on it all was.

Every time I see a post by you it makes me listen to Turin Brakes 😁

Well, I won't complain! I used to be one of their biggest fans and I still love their early stuff, although I think their quality has really dropped off since their fourth album, and many other bands have overtaken them on my league table over the last decade or so.

Oh, We Were Here is probably my favourite TB album, love the track Blindsided Again especially. So who is top of your league table right now? For me it's The Front Bottoms or Manchester Orchestra (for bands in a similar vein as TB).

Sadly, didn't kingy pass away a couple of years ago?
Not sure if it's the same kingy. Just finished bob mortimer new book (cracking read by the way) and he mentions a kingy who was good mates with him. He was from Middlesbrough living in London when Bob was young.

It is. There was an article that said he’d died but it turned out to be false. Kingy was always very bitter about Vic & Bobs success whenever it was mentioned on here!
