Why was it all deleted?

I'm not sure to be honest, there used to be the catflaporama site that archived the old board but I guess whoever owned it didn't renew the domain and all was lost.

Shame as there were genuinely hilarious threads on there.

Just been working my way through Bob Mortimer's autobiography and there are many references to Kingy in there. He basically introduced Bob to the London comedy circuit and to his mate Jim Moir (Vic Reeves). I might be mistaken but I think Kingy had a chip on his shoulder about how it all panned out as he was one of the acts that used to 'fill in' between Vic's routines and he had paved the way for Bob's success without really getting any credit. Brilliant book, by the way,..... any Boro fans who also have fond memories of living in the area would absolutely love it !
