He’s a class act
Agreed he went up several pegs on the star chart tonight — ok he probably started off in the negative zone (if there is such a level) but he’s definitely on the rise.Thought he played well tonight. Good on the ball. Kept it simple but you can see he has good vision. His delivery from set pieces is excellent. Also he's very strong and can hold players off with ease. Should have had another assist (Watmore's howler). Promising signs, well done Martin lad.
Apart from the one where he nearly knocked the keeper overHe shooting was way off the mark...ballooned over every time...keep in down.... shooting practice required....
Tavs finishing or just his ability to hit the target is of a low standard and doesn’t appear to be improving although he is obviously a valuable player the way he runs at teams and stretches them but no end product.Payero is looking good, I just wish Tav would look up more and stop being so selfish when he's cutting in.
Totally agreeReally was impressed by how he picked his head up after that miss and managed to give it another extra 10%. Didn’t let it get to him.
I agree unlucky with his chance but he just never stops running his energy is incredible he’s like the energiser bunny ( kids ask yer dad)A big shout to Watmore (his miss aside) how much ground does that lad cover, he never stops running & chasing defenders down, considering the career injuries he's had & come back from he's still got some pace
Sorry I meant TavApart from the one where he nearly knocked the keeper over
Watching Payero last night, the only thing that concerns me he just doesnt look happy, maybe its me looking at it that way, or he's going to give that impression whoever he plays for, a new country, culture, its a big change for a young lad here on his own, he couldnt be any further from his family, his body language, just the way he stands, shoulders drooped. He's getting there. His positioning is still off and he's being talking through the game but having Crooks behind him will help a lot.
For sure. I’ve seen enough from the last two games to be convinced he will be a good asset and everything hopefully is being done to make his stay in the area a happy one.I thought he was decent last night and definitely a performance he can be pleased with. He clearly has good vision and once he finds his feet he’ll be a good player.
It’s a tough time for the kid really. Arriving in the North East of England from Argentina and he’ll need time to settle.
I think Tavernier is trying to hard to get himself out of a rut of bad form. He knows he is better than he has shown recently. It's not all his fault though, he's played in about 5 different positions in the last ten games, and none of them his favoured number 8Watmore, Sporar and Payero look to be playing for each other in a professional manner towards the best option for a goal. Tavernier however looks to be all about himself, appalling efforts at goal and his technique was terrible. It’s coming together with the quality in the squad. Management however need to further Implement the team dynamic.

He doesn't play that way mind
See also Jones. Guilty of blind alley running all night but Jones is young and it'll come.Payero is looking good, I just wish Tav would look up more and stop being so selfish when he's cutting in.
Digressing but I thought it was Duracell bunny, then found this!I agree unlucky with his chance but he just never stops running his energy is incredible he’s like the energiser bunny ( kids ask yer dad)
