Yes it’s madness but some on here def egg be this policy despite we being the only team in the world to think it’s an issue.Once Warnock leaves Gibson will , as usual, limit his search to whoever happens to be available at the time, a policy that brought us the delights of Gordon Strachan, Gary Monk and Jonathan Woodgate - all top top managers for us.
When there's a reasonable chance any new manager won't even last a season, I can understand him not wanting to pay compensation fees. There's enough pressure to spend on transfer fees as it is, but shrinking that pot to get a contracted manager might not always pay dividends.Yes it’s madness but some on here def egg be this policy despite we being the only team in the world to think it’s an issue.
Good shout that. Like Potter, supercoach-turned-manager. Hope Gibbo’s reading!Graeme Jones would be an interesting choice. He had a bit of a disaster at Luton, but he seems to be a brilliant coach and tactician.
Credited with Newcastles upturn in form and Southgate has recruited him for England too.
See I agreed as well. Then what after that 1 year is up it’s a very limited vision. I’d say cut ties or and get wilder or Jimmy.
Graeme Jones was sounded out last summer with a view to coming in next summer after NW final season. He was with England at the time. He was who i was alluding to on another thread a while back when I wouldn’t name names but said he was local-ish (he’s from Gateshead and his wife from Stockton). Obviously things have moved on since then.Good shout that. Like Potter, supercoach-turned-manager. Hope Gibbo’s reading!
Cough CoughI’ve nothing against warnock
Chris wilder is a great appointment on paper but I’m confident he can deliverWell now
We are about to find our aren't we!This seasons failure has been a stark as his previous success and that must raise some questions, regarding how they came up so short after impressing so much last season.
It will be intersting to see how he does at his next club - can he replicate his success at Sheff Utd?
