Badge re-design

I wouldn't be against a redesign, but I think you can manage something that is better than both the current and 1986 one.

There's always a risk that the club would try and modernise it and you end up with something awful like Juventus.

Definitely a possibility. A good design consultancy would do the proper research and avoid such pitfalls

TBH - it's halfway there. The lad that posts on here has made a fantastic start.
 
Rumblings semi recently? There have been rumblings since it changed! It's been over a decade now though surely time for an update.

If Gibson genuinely sees himself as the custodian of the club, then some sort of fans survey would surely be a reasonable approach for something so important. Not sure who picked the current badge or some of our recent shirt designs but I certainly wouldn't trust the club to get it right.

To be fair wouldn't trust any club to get it right. Agree the Juventus one is terrible. Although I thought the Leeds fascist salute design was genius, shame they didn't stick with it.
 
Swansea's permanent badge is horrible:

But for this season only they've redesigned it and went to a more traditional, and in my opinion far superior design:

So I think clubs can change it and get it right on occasion (though their actual badge is proof to me of how badly it can go).

Both awful, especially the temporary one, but then its a difficult ask to work an attractive design when your basis is a swan.

They could switch it up a bit and give it a AK47 and a pair of sunglasses I suppose.
