PMQ's on Wednesday

The opposition leader gets 6 questions for PMQ's. For me there is no point in asking 6 variations of the same question about the parties in Downing Street which the Prime Minister will bluff his way through and say we need to wait for the report. I think he will soon be history and the final party he will be going to will be his own leaving party. If PMQ's is to have any credibility it needs to get back to discussing weighty topics such as the £4 billion plus write-off of Covid loans as a starter and not waste time on a topic the whole country is aware the Prime Minister is guilty of.

Probably true, whatever Starmer asks, it'll be a complete BS answer about not knowing it was a party, having only been 10 mins, we all take cake in to work for people's birthday etc. etc. ad nauseum. Don't ask any questions about it....simply make reference to it in the other questions. About Boris doing the hokey cokey an stuffing his face with birthday cake while the economy burns etc.

The problem is populism. our political system is based on personalities and not issues.

Like it or not, and whether they were illegal or not (they were, but that's not the point) the only way Starmer hurts Alexander is to keep picking at something that has upset the public. The parties appear to have done that. OS he needs to keep going, see how many Tory Maps he can get swamped with complaint letter by constituents.

We know they don't care about their constituents but they damn sure care about their seats. if they realise Johnson's parties are losing them there grip on power they'll not hesitate to stab him in the back.

Johnson is a dangerous PM
Does what he likes and isn’t bothered just says he is sorry but really he isn’t.
He’s a dictator like trump
Wolf in sheeps clothing
Very very dangerous type of leader
And the Tories just put up with it because he wins
Scary times because C.d*ck is corrupt as hell and I expect a whitewash or months of investigations when this should take a week or two at most (to determine a party or two took place)

What the Tory’s did well at the election was find a subject they were strong on and stick to that subject only, in their case Brexit. Nothing else was allowed to be discussed to dilute the focus. The opposition are doing the same on partygate. They know they have public opinion on their side and are at a crucial time in Johnson’s politic future. They will ram home trust and contempt references at PMQ’s again - not just Starmer but the whole opposition side - the single focus stuff is the new strategy. It doesn’t matter what Johnson says, the words people hear are contempt, one rule for the government another rule for us, parties whilst our relatives died alone. I would be surprised if PMQ’s on the opposition side were any different tomorrow

It's aimed at (and being successful so far) tying Johnson up in knots - if by some miracle he one day decided to speak a true word to Parliament, he couldn't, as it will prove historic mistruths.

As a former DPP Starmer has clearly had more intellectually gifted targets in his sights previously and it's like watching a cat toying with carrion.

If the government wants to act outside of the law that's their prerogative - Starmer simply needs to hold a mirror up to it.

But the evil Tories are doing the same by pumping out the message, PM doing a great job, made the right call on omicron, world class vaccine, better than the EU, economy the most open, blah blah blah….like robots all his lackies….the opposition should also be stating ; highest death toll in EU, no PPE meaning health staff died, social care in crisis and pensioners died due to sending to care homes with covid, 4.5 billion covid business loans written off as fraudulent….and keep repeating!!!! As well as, Pm took the mickey out of the people partying whilst we all suffered….
That needs to be the Starmer approach…had this government got even PPE right how many citizens or loved ones would still be here today Prime Minister ?

Starmer will have to go on the party stuff. We need to know when the report will be published. He needs to embarrass him about it.

Starmer also needs to tell Johnson that he must resign as he has brought the office into disrepute with the police investigation.

I think the grand tory masterplan was to harness the comedy value of the useless idiot to get them into power.

Then replace him with a proper PM before he gets found out.

Unfortunately he fkd up way faster than they ever thought he could. And the irony of it all is that it is his people, moles on the inside, that are bringing him down.

Funnier by the day - were it not so serious.

If they want to swing voters from the Tories they need to enforce that the party are at fault, not just Johnson. Concentrate on the topic of parties but ask who else was there, spread the blame. We all know Johnson won't last until the next election so it needs to be hammered home that whoever takes over isn't a change but a continuation. The entire party is complicit.
