9am Kit Release!!

I'm the same (though I hate the sponsor).

I'm encouraged by the fact Viv's nana likes it (sponsor aside) I think he works or used to work in fashion (could be wrong)?

So I'm choosing to interpret that as the rest of these fuddy duddies being out of touch.
I studied fashion(menswear and promotion) and work in the field now after a spell away. FWIW I would say it’s a nice shirt. It’s a bit of a throwback.

I think it might be quite unique to Boro, I’m not sure many others will be wearing that template next season. That’s the sort of thing that I always liked about Errea, that they seem to design for the club rather than a club just picking from a list of templates.

The only issue for me is the sponsor. It’s a betting company so it’s ugly to begin with, but it’s the focal point of that shirt. Like the band is there to showcase the sponsor. The balance is wrong IMO.

Lots of the posts who don't like it, don't like the sponsor.

I doubt that part would change with fan discussions.
Probably not but Ramsdens eventually went from the green fruit pastel you could see from space to something far more subtle and understated.

Whether that was down to feedback or just a coincidence I suppose we'll never know.

Suppose we also don't know how much input the shirt sponsors have on how their logo is displayed. I assume the contract will specify how large it needs to be to a point, but there must be some room for manoeuvre.

Boro fans in 1995: a grandad collar would be cool!

Errea in 2022: sure thing!

The thing I don't understand is "player safety first".

What is it the players are endangered by? Alligators? Is it a COVID thing? Pitch invaders?

It feels like this is just a bad company trying to make themselves look good by putting a vaguely positive sounding slogan on the shirt. Like a mcain oven chips advert.

I'm guessing it's a riff on "when the fun stops, stop" type of message that gambling companies now need to put in.

They don’t fit in very well do they!
“KNOW YOUR LIMITS” - cheers guys.. didn’t think we would make the playoffs.

UNIBET’S LOGO is horrific!!! Rest assured what ever away kit we have.. it will ruin that too!! Is there anyone we can contact to get it changed?? (Seriously)
