Let fry go for a healthy sum.Bring back Ben Gibson for about 5m like for like .Another striker and midfielder along with Clarke and we have a good squad to go with.
 
He's one of our own and is a good player once he gets playing he hit top form .we would need him if fry left as we need five defenders to compete we 3 central spots
 
If Fry was to be sold, which I think is a possibility to be honest with you.

We would have McNair, Dijksteel, Clarke, Bola and Lenihan. That’s probably enough in reality but the worry is if Lenihan gets injured or suspended as he’s most suited for the central role, I wouldn’t be against bringing in a young centre back from lower league with potential who can cover for Lenihan

This the same Ben that can’t get into the Norwich team? You appear to base your judgement on historical Ben not current

We already have 5 but could do with another to cover Lenihan although Clarke can play there too if needs be when Lenihan isn’t available ( I am obviously basing this on Fry being sold as per OP)

Because he’s not fancied by the manager, clearly isn’t going to start, has value and he isn’t following instructions when playing. I don’t want to sell him but I do think it’s very likely he will be sold if a solid bid comes in as it will suit all parties

You could also have the possibility of Giles getting injured or suspended at the same time. Bola could fill in but it would only leave us with Djiksteel, McNair and Clarke as our options, meaning we'd be one injury away from a disaster.

We had Bamba and Peliter as back-up options last season, so I'd like for us to have at least two back-up centre half options this season.

Smith can also cover centre half in an absolute emergency but I would still like someone maybe younger with potential who can cover for Lenihan if Fry is indeed sold

Lenihan/Fry

Djiksteel/??

We're very short at the back imo. Or in midfield if we see McNair as a CB?
