Mogg has gone

Why resign minutes after Sunak has been appointed PM? It shows the cracks are still very much there in the Tory party and they certainly won't come together under Sunak. He'd likely have been removed from post in a reshuffle anyway so why the drama of resigning serparately to the reshuffle? The optics are awful in his timing.
And Mad Nads won't be able to keep her gob shut for long 🤣

He’s resigned

Hopefully that ends that sorry chapter in British politics.
Keep right on hoping but I'm sorry to tell you he's simply retreating back into the ERG/Brexit Ultra stronghold within the Tory party which will continue to pull on the levers of power from the background. Until someone in government faces up to the economic damage caused by Brexit and the barriers erected to trade with our nearest neighbours and largest markets we're going nowhere fast in terms of economic growth so it will be increased taxation and spending cuts for the foreseeable future.

Braverman may be back as home sec apparently!

I can only assume that Sunak can't be arsed being involved in the Rwanda thing directly and wants to distance himself from the policy by installing a "fascist wall" so to speak.

Options for a temporary job in the run up to Christmas ..1. Royal Mail 2. Watford FC 3. Downing Street

I'll do a full update when the full (new) cabinet is announced, but that will be 7 Business Secretaries and 9 Justice Secretaries since May 2015. Is it any wonder both sectors are in a mess?

Work and Pensions Minister has gone. So that will be 8 of them since May 2015.
