I hope not. People have trains to catch. If a team is time wasting there are already rules to deal with it.
You don't even need a stop clock really (for those purists that might upset). You just need a separate timekeeper with very clear criteria as to what they add time on for and make it completely transparent so coaches (and possibly fans where possible) can see the running total.Maybe next season.
It's just the prelude before the inevitable introduction of a stop-clock.
Something that would probably help the game, in my opinion.
I hope not, what with me going to the bar/loo 5 minutes before half time, missing the first 5 minutes of the second half and then leaving 5 minutes before full time to beat the traffic I could end up missing 30 minutes of football.Could we be looking at 10 or even 15 mins being added on at the riverside once the season resumes.
Referees are allowed to book players for time wasting. Do that. What rules?
Adding the time on is exactly what they're doing at this tournament, and it's something that's often ignored at domestic level.
Teams time waste for 10 minutes, and the ref often only adds 30 seconds on at the end.

Yes it's odd that they've gone from one arbitrary figure to another. We should be seeing 15 minutes added on each half.Let’s be honest you could add 20 mins into most games in the championship and still not come close to closing the gap.
If players start getting sent off you won't see as much timewasting. That doesn't give the other team the time back.
Plenty of the stoppages aren't for timewasting either.
