Aye, that Curtis Tilt had a mare.Curtis Tilt was a divvy pulling on shirts and dropping like a stone over the ball.
He was fortunate to win so many free kicks when he lost possession.

I was going to say the exact same thing. To be fair he seemed to have a wry smile on his face and to be enjoying being the pantomime villain while he took a few corners on the SW corner.
He's popped off in the media and on social media plenty of times giving his views on the English and the British armed forces. He can't expect that he won't be getting fans who are predominately English with a level of pride in the British military giving him a bit back, played for a local rival too.
Must have took you a while to ask everyone @TeaCider.............Absolutely nobody was booing him because he played for Sunderland a decade ago, at a time when they were in a different division to us.
Must have took you a while to ask everyone @TeaCider.............
I don't think you can make a sweeping statement like that, even if it is 98.78% booing him for his political views you cannot possibly state 'absolutely nobody' booed him for the much dirtier crime of being a Mackem.
He does realise his uk taxes pay for the armed forces though.Regardless of whether I agree with him, I actually think he deserves a massive amount of respect for taking a principled stance (which is totally understandable based on his background) which he knows will be unpopular and has probably affected his career.
Yes I heard both, and was perplexed about both.If you read the thread then you’ll find most people aren’t saying that at all.
If he was getting abused my a minority in the South it wasn’t laid enough to be audible to the North. You could hear a smattering of boos but that could easily be fit the Mackem ties.
I think most aren’t interested in the lad.
As for Fletcher, there was a smattering of boos and a ripple of applause. Not sure either were the appropriate response. Most kept quiet which seemed about right to me.
This is now my new earworm
That's spot on Jedi.He does realise his uk taxes pay for the armed forces though.

A stupid hypocrite
No, just an Irish bloke who hates the English and everything English and who has earned a pretty penny during his career being employed by companies based in England. A guy who will happily be paid in pounds sterling and pay his taxes in pounds sterling. And let's face it he doesn't just disagree with 'any past actions', it's all actions past present and future.Really? So you agree with the argument that if you pay tax in the UK, you are a hypocrite if you disagree with any of the past or current actions of the British government? Or disagree with the actions of the military force of the country you pay tax in?
That's me a hypocrite then.
Hating the UK government is not the same as hating all English people. No, just an Irish bloke who hates the English and everything English and who has earned a pretty penny during his career being employed by companies based in England. It makes you wonder why he ever set foot in England doesn't it really?
He hates everything English, apart from our currency. Don't kid yourself.Hating the UK government is not the same as hating all English people.
I don’t really see any evidence for that, nor do I really care.He hates everything English, apart from our currency. Don't kid yourself.
I won't bother directing you to the evidence then.I don’t really see any evidence for that, nor do I really care.
