The only person making this personal is you and I did ask you not to. I am not the only person on here who feels you and a few others are trying to defend someone who crossed the decency threshold.

As others have said, Clarkson is a bell end but makes interesting tv - Clarksons farm was decent, the grand tour is very hit and miss, the Mongolia one was excellent, the last one in Scandinavia was terrible and the format of him and his mates doing heavily scripted mishaps is getting very old.

What he said about Meghan was awful. Im no fan of her or harry, I find the whole circus demeaning to everyone involved, and to everyone who gawps on at it. The press, the hangers on, the commentators, the royal family and megan and harry - its all appalling

But what he said about her was disgusting and dangerous. He has a history of racist comments and he shouldnt be on tv any more
 
What Clarkson said may have been offensive and in bad taste but he is known for hyperbole. It was an exaggeration, not to be taken literally.

The number of complaints show an apology was needed yet some of the public comments are as much over the top as his original comments.
 
I've been sitting here pondering your above remarks and the only person with an issue is you. Other people have stated or suggested exactly the same as I have and yet you have singled me out. Maybe it should be me asking why you are making this personal and not the other way around. It seems to me you have realised you are backing the wrong horse and deflecting your mistake onto me.
 
No fan of any of the royals but I do sympathise a bit with Harry and Megan. They complain people in the Royal family are briefing the press to write hit pieces on them, then Camilla is reported to have a private dinner with Clarkson and Piers Morgan and shortly after this article appears. I think Clarkson knew exactly what he was doing and have no sympathy at all for any blowback he is getting.

in Clarkson's case top draw makes sense in that his shows are popular. Top drawer he is not.

The problem with this argument is that people DO take these things literally, sometimes with tragic consequences. The idea that 'its just Jeremy, its what he does' doesnt wash anymore. This guy has a history of racist comments so no real surprise he's insulting a black woman but yet again this idiot says disgusting morally reprehensible things but people stand up for him because they quite like his tv shows.
