New Season Tickets on sale for 2024/25

Look, you really need to get a grip. He's not stalking you, he's told you that he's been lurking for a while before joining. He shows absolutely no characteristics of being a poster on that forum.
Oh trust me I know who they are.

It always starts with the same crap, coincidence how his first quotes and posts are to target me which is their MO.

What are you going on about you absolute weirdo, I had an account a while back on here but due to changing iCloud’s and phones lost my login and access to the associated email. I then couldn’t be bothered making a new account so lurked on here for a while just to keep up to date on any Boro related news as I refuse to use Twitter, then when I finally did make an account I disagreed with certain points you made. Is that enough information for you, ya little weirdo

Nope.

Just seen this on X, surely can’t be right is it

Boro early bird pricing for a new adult fan. Cheapest ticket £574.

For reference, cheapest season tickets at:

Man City: £385
Man Utd: £551
Burnley: £335
Newcastle: £438
Wolves: £525
Forest £465
West Ham £310
That looks about right.
I put a similar post on here last year showing which PL clubs had cheaper STs than Boro.

Strange comment. Why would she not turn up for 6 games? If for any reason she can’t go to a game, I.e., on holiday she transfers her match ticket electronically to another fan member at Man Utd. From next season, she is allowed to transfer a match day ticket to an U16 non-member.
You compared our prices to Man Utd. At the Boro you pay and the club says thanks.

Man U includes a shed load of admin.

Must buy cup tickets
Not attending Must electronically transfer including details of the transferee to the club
Must attend 75% of all the games or you don’t get invited to renew next season
Miss 6 in a row and the ticket can be withdrawn mid season.

Not quite like for like.

That's because they have ridiculous waiting lists! And it's only fair you have your ticket removed if your not using it when someone is on a waiting list who would use it.

We should be doing everything in our power to increase attendances no scare people off. We are a bang an average championship club now.

I'll add to the cost of a season ticket, the massive hype in rail fares and the poor connections to other public transport in Teesside, often meaning the cost of B&B for night matches an silly KO times. The cost of a return rail ticket has gone up 50% in 6 years. [£41-£81 basic fare]. Forget refreshments

Pretty depressing announcement today and one of the biggest PR failures the club has made in a long time. There needs to be a follow up and a response from the club.

I worked out that I have probably spent circa £2,000 this season following the Boro and all the associated spend (tickets, transport, hotels). I love it and have been doing it for 27 years. Living away means I miss lots of home games but it’s still important to me to have my seat.

The tone of the email is at best incompetent and at worst it’s arrogant. It assumes compliance, can’t even be bothered to thank fans. No vision. No statement of intent. No attempt to provide a narrative on the cost increases for the club and why some of that needs to be met with price increases.

Then there is the 4 week deadline. Utterly tone deaf and pathetic. It is within the clubs power to make it more accessible for people. The least they can do is extent that deadline. That should be the ask of supporter reps and groups. It’s the one thing that will ease the cash flow pressure that a lot of my friends are upset about. Financially penalising people for not being able to use their Feb pay packet is not progressive.

Finally the response from the supporters forum is incredibly disappointing. It is a representative body of supporters not the clubs PR team. It is meant to be a critical friend of the club and act on behalf of its members. Putting out a statement that essentially says “Gibson came to a meeting and told us why this had to happen” is simply not the representation that fans deserve.

I will still pay it. I’m not happy about it but I will. While I am sure the club can explain why they are increasing prices the deadline, the lack of gratitude for support and the tone of communication all require accountability and addressing. Starting with an apology, a communication to all fans explaining the increase and extending the deadline to mid April.

I am not defending a price increase by MFC, personally I think it was wrong, but I notice the 18-21 concession is now available in all parts of the stadium - it was not true in the past. It does help those fans who are students or on apprenticeships or low paid jobs. At MFC just over 50% of ST holders have some sort of price concession. Quite a few adults STs get 23 free drinks too. Thats worth around £115 per season if a ST drinks a pint of Bud. Some might say I need it before a Boro home game nowadays!
