So Forss & Dieng aren't injured

Maybe he's written this game off, expecting us to get humped no matter who is in goal.
Not great for Dieng to concede 4 on his big return.
Best to let Glover take the hit then Dieng can come back for our big play-off push. Or our big safety bid. Depending how you view your 50% glass.
Horrendous reasoning, he’s a professional player not a under 10 one

It's a bit unfair on those travelling fans who've paid their money.

He started the other night tho, he's been playing like he's fit and against Bristol it was just an strain wasn't it?

The Dieng one is very weird, Im starting to think Carrick is either very stubborn or too nice & doesn't want to drop Glover
been thinking this for a while. Seems too nice to players. Obviously all my own opinion no one has exposure to what happens off the field etc. The whole team seems a bit nicey nicey as well no bite. saying that still like carrick and especially last season the football was some of the best ive seen in 30 odd years. Keeper situation is mind blowing, if DIENG isnt fit whys he been on the bench for 3 games? If he is fit HE starts for me all day long.

Carrick has previously had players carrying knocks on the bench! He’s done it at least 3x this season so why does it shock you?
Obviously the overall weakness of the squad is down to injuries but clearly Dieng and Forss aren't injured otherwise they wouldn't be playing on the bench. Surely some questions have to be asked of why Carrick is benching them? It's

Can ask the question but am sure the answer will be Seny is working his way back from injury so not quite ready to start yet and forss was feeling a slight niggle so starting on the bench, I wouldn't look into any further than that to be honest

If they are fit they are in the team and starting.
If they are not fit out if the team and not on the bench.
Surely it should be pretty simple really.
If Dieng is on the bench but isn’t fit enough to start what happens if Glover gets injured or sent off in the 1st minute of the game.

This is a wave the white flag team. Already conceded that we can't get anything from the game and looking to the next match. We'll get hammered.

We don't know for certain that Dieng is a hundred percent fit either. Especially with goalkeeper distribution being such a large part of our game if his thigh strain is still slightly uncomfortable he may be strong enough for the bench but not to start. It's easy to criticise when you don't have all the information.

Because is a goalkeeper, why would you put an injured one on the bench? If something goes wrong with Glover then we are ****ed, its not like a striker or defender where you can push someone into the position

1) Maybe Carrick should share the information with the fans, instead of leaving us to guess
2) Hes a goalkeeper, you are either fit enough to play or you aren't. We have a third choice goalkeeper for this exact reason, if Dieng is injured then its moronic to put him in the team sheet at all

But then why put him on the bench? Put someone else in there who can come on, not someone you'd be extremely reluctant to bring on
This is classic isn’t it?
We have been told time and again by managers that if they aren’t fit enough to play they aren’t fit enough to be on the bench.

If he's 90% fit / recovered , then you might risk him being on the bench for the small % chance of a keeper sending off.
You might decide not to risk 90% recovered to play 90+ minutes.
