The Matt Crooks fee

No way will it have been the 3 or 4 mil "reported". If it had of been Boro would have been all over this as it reflects well on them. It woud have been 1-1.5 MAX.

These days it seems that practically any Boro player can go for a reasonable fee regardless of the length of their Boro contract. With Chuba and Crooks (and others) going without “adequate” replacements, it’s difficult to believe that we can really put in a serious promotion challenge.
 
Its been reported as substantial by professional journalists - surely its more than £1/1.5m?

The common figure I saw was $4m about £3.2m - which to me meets the substantial description - with Rotherham getting some of that. I think I worked it out to £2.6m for Boro.

US clubs are not poor any more they charge typically £39 per ticket at Salt Lake City and get decent crowds.

I’m not sure any of our fees are disclosed now. It’s hard enough spending money these days without everybody having an idea of how much you might have to spend.

I don't pretend to understand the US system but he isn't a 'designated player' which allows them to break the salary cap and other costs: "The Designated Player Rule allows clubs to acquire up to three players whose total compensation and acquisition costs exceed the Maximum Salary Budget Charge, with the club bearing financial responsibility for the amount of compensation above each player's Salary Budget Charge"

Which I think makes it less likely they paid a big fee.

Hilarious, are you watching it, crooksy is doing well as expected but my god ! The snow…absolutely pouring with snow….two delays for lightning as well….it’s surely going to get abandoned, using an orange ball but there must be at least an inch of snow on the pitch 🤣🤣🤣

Yep it crazy not sure if it will finish. Thought he had an assist but the 2nd goal was ruled out for offside.
