New Liverpool manager agreed

Big job. Wouldn't fancy following Klopp, the only way is down really.

They've got some brilliant young players so it won't be Fergie leaving United bad. They're very well run, do a great job of renewing the squad and bringing through academy players. But you'd think it might also be close to the end of the line for the likes of Salah and VVD.

The big one will be when Pep leaves City, that will really be the end of an era.

Here's hoping👍

They "may" get lucky if they bring one of his minions back (Leicester manager) and he can continue Peps football philosophy......but it's when the rebuilding comes around, that's when the wheels will fall off.

Hope so. I can’t stand Man City and the success they’ve bought. Nothing against Guardiola or the players, but none of it would happen without Middles Eastern petrodollars.

You had your moment in the 90’s with your speciallydesignedliquidtankersandtransportdollars

Same for any club really - just a question of degree
In general those with the £ succeed - we did it

Boro did not do what Abu Dhabi has done to Man City. Having the backing of a small nation with unlimited wealth, is not the same as a local lad using some of his millions to make Boro a top flight club.

Surely, if we were comparing apples with apples we should dislike Blackburn?

Local lad, boyhood fan injecting millions into the club to "buy" success? But absolutely nothing against what they did. Fair play Jack Walker 👍

The Man City state owned model is obscene, especially when you factor in them owning 4?5? other clubs being able to hoover up and stockpile global talent.

Have a lot of good, proper Man City supporting mates (grew up on the terraces of Maine Road etc) so nothing against these fans.......it's just the club epitomise everything bad with modern football.

It really baffles me that people see Man City "buying the league" differently than they see Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal (insert glory team they supported as a child here). All those clubs are at the top because they have spent ridiculous amounts of money to get there. What does it matter that they spent it in a shorter timeframe? They had to in order to be able to make up the decades of spending and infrastructure of the mega clubs. City have spent the money well when others like Utd and Chelsea have been spending similar amounts on rubbish.

Yes the top of the premier league is a collective joke, Liverpool have spent a fortune to win a few trophies, they had no choice, let’s not have any romantic fairytales that they have done it with their youth academy.

So you scouted him when already doing well at Coventry and not when under the radar at Brighton?

Good job, keep up the great work :ROFLMAO:
He was 23 when I spotted him here is my report....you can't argue with any if it 👍

However Cov's best player, the best forward on the pitch and Nobby's choice was No 17 Viktor Gyokeres.
This lad was a strong and physical presence up front and caused us problems throughout. With a nice touch to bring others into the game he held the ball up well and made some strong runs into the box getting several shots off. I would certainly like him in our squad.

Age 23 this Swedish International moved from his homeland to Brighton in 2018 to join the U23 squad and was loaned out to Swansea and Coventry.
Signing for Cov on a 3 year permanent deal at the start of this season he has 10 goals already.
This lad has a good career ahead of him and as such he's in the famous 📖👍
