So if we have to sell one player in the summer...

Marcus
Seny
Manu LL

I'm not saying we have to but who would be your reluctant choice

Seny for me, and hope that one of the two returning goalies ( Zach and Sol) could slot in, but even then Seny has been the best goalie I have seen for a while , so a very reluctant offload.

Living in Swindon, saw a lot of Sol last year. He's not far off Dieng to be honest. He had plenty of practise with schite back passes in his time with the Robins. Don't know much about his progress this year but he was en route to 1st team squad with us as far as I could see.

Out of those, then surely Forss, but he wouldn’t bring a huge fee, so we should keep.
Our Crown Jewels are Hackney and VDB. I still think we let Roger’s go too cheaply. We should fight to keep both.
Dieng is good enough to win the championship and play prem. I’d keep him unless a silly offer comes in.
Latte Lath’s recent explosion will have had a huge impact on his saleability and asking price. Another year, and he could be big ticket. We should fight to keep him and continue the clearly excellent development work that’s gone on so far.
Coburn will be better again next season….keep.
Bangura has real potential and probably cheap….keep
Clarke, Lenihan, Smith solid….keep
Ayling, end of contract, cheap deal 1-2 years.
Azaz…has something…keep
Howson, another year…keep
Jones….keep (no brainer)

Mcgree, should get a goodish fee….sell
Fry, might get a reasonable fee….sell
Barlasser…sell

Greenwood …no, OBrien…maybe
Silvera….cheap rough diamond. Could probably do with a loan to lower champo club for a season. Might know more then. Gilbert same

We clearly need a big summer transfer window, but the makings of a promotion squad is there

I'm cautiously optimistic we don't "need" to sell anyone.

Rogers and Crooks should count as the summer's big sale. They've brought in as much as we got for Akpom, last summer's big sale.

If we do sell it should only be for silly money. I do have a concern the club sometimes just sees the £ signs and it's almost inevitable once a bid goes over £10m.

Wasn't particularly impressed with Scott's comments on the Rogers deal where he implied we pretty much had to sell because the player fancied the move and it was a good deal for all parties.

If they were desperate for the player it should've been an amazing deal for us or no deal at all. Probably being over pessimistic, but I do worry a bit the club are incapable of saying "no" and meaning it.

If rumours are true
Dieng is going £5+m
Glover is going £2m+
Mcgree is going £4m+
Forss is going £4m+
Add that to the Rogers and Crooks money .
I have a feeling Hackney will be on someone's radar at £20m.
One Boro ' the Jew ' saying he Is going . Tends to get things right .

I think all players will have a price on their head - we may get offers we can't refuse and if that's the case - we'll sell. I hope we keep the majority of this team together - with a few additions I think we'll have a great chance of getting promoted next season.

I agree with all of that other than O’Brien is a no for me. He’s ok at best but will demand a good fee and big wages and he hasn’t shown enough to be worth that investment and it’s a sunk investment as he’s unlikely to get another big prem move

Haven’t seen any rumours about Forss leaving at all. The McGree one is a possibility as he’s in his last year but it’s also possible he signs a new deal so that isn’t a given either.

I would very surprised if sold both Glover and Dieng.

Sell - Dijksteel and Hoppe.
Loan out - Silvera, Gilbert, Smith

If McGree won't extend then we'll obviously have to try and sell, but that's it for me.

McGree is the only one that makes sense to sell since his contract is up in 12 months and I doubt he'll sign a new one with us.

Big summer ahead for Gibbo and the bean counters. For the first time in a while we have a bit of a transfer war chest (apparently), and are under no financial pressure to cash in on anyone else. So if we sell any of our other better players then Carrick might as well walk and find a club with ambition instead.

I'm not usually confident when it comes to Boro (following them for nearly 50 years teaches you that), but for the first time since the Robbo early years I think we're on the brink of something good with this squad now. Need to bring in 2 or 3 more, keep what we have, and have a better start to next season than what we had and I'm positive we'll have something to celebrate this time next year.

The only thing that will scupper that is if the club decide to cash in on our better players and ask MC to do another rebuild.

Forss is a £8 + million player if he goes, a goalscorer who seems to be getting better.

I'm not sure , you could be right but he has played so little would we actually be diminished by him going, He is a cracking player but he has contributed so little this season.
I think that is a very fair and good point you make there. I really like McGree when he's fit and firing but we haven't seen enough of him this season.

The way Azaz is starting to come on (last night for me was his best performance) he feels like a ready made replacement. The only thing is what would McGree's value be at present given his lack of game time. Is it really worth selling him if we can't realise his true value.
